Re: #040 on ramp!

They'll be CNC'd from billet, a more expensive but lighter than the original forging. I believe the lighter CNC pieces weren't used on the original F1 when first built as new metal-alloys are around now that werent back then
So in your answer, many many of these

Re: #040 on ramp!
dragging this thread back up, Flemke has stated recently that "The factory have, however, done quite a bit of stuff on the car which either has been type-approved for another car (LM or GT), or is not subject to that approval regime. The latter would be mostly cosmetic things, but all together those things have been fairly substantial."
So, any guesses as to what this cosmetic 'stuff' could be?
he has also stated "Then we have the interior. I have changed mine already quite a bit". Anyone have any pics of these changes, apart from the steering wheel and the blue racing harness?

I know that he swapped many of the typically plastic pieces in the interior compartment with carbon ones. If you look at the two side pods that surround the instrument cluster you can see a portion of this.

You'd've thought GM, in his quest for lightness, would have thought of that already (as well as any other mods Flemke may have done that he may enlighten us on)

The section where the door pull mounts is typically covered in suede/alcantara like the rest of the interior panels above the beltline. Here's an example:
