Help, two wires, and no place to put them

My son and I replaced a burned out, used up 1.0 liter engine in a 91 metro convertable.

We have 2 wires that noone remembers where they came from. They have round terminal connectors, like the kind that would be held on by a screw or bolt. One is hot when the key is on.

We are at the point where the engine turns over, but doesn't start. If we pour gas in the throttle body, the engine will start, but stop as sone as the gas is gone. Any ideas?

I have pictures but have no way to attach them to this post.

they bolt on to intake next to throttle body. you won't get fuel if they are not grounded

its hot because its its going through a relay thats supposed to be grounded to turn the fuel pump on. any bolt on the intake will work

Thanks, will give it a try. Yes, they are small, 12, 14 gauge, all other wires in their place.
