A friend of mine has a 1999 look very much like mine! She said she had to take it to the dealer for a recall on what she called coils? Has anyone else heard of this recall? If this is true is there a way to tell if the recall has been done? thanks in advance

Ford did have some type of recall concerning front coils springs, if they were broken, they would get replaced, if not then Ford would install protectors around the springs to prevent tire blowouts in case of spring failure, in which case the spring would be replaced... also if you had paid for spring replacement prior to the recall, had your receipts, Ford would reimburse you.. call your Ford dealer for info
