4.3 to 350 swap

I have most of the parts and am wondering is there anyway not to have to change the frame mounts on the truck with the 2.8 one cause I don't want to drop the control arms just to change mounts can I run the solid steel mounts, I have a 5 speed tranny and was planning on using a polyurethane mount on it cause I have broke the tranny mount 2 times and motor mounts 3 times and do not want to have to drop the control arms 1 a year to change a motor mount or crack a traansmissio n case I am going to be running a stock 350 out of a 92 z28 and the stock 5 speed and running 3.42 locker in the rear it is going to be a possible daily driver with a/c and cruise with fuel injection so any help will be greatly appreciated for this is my first s10 v8 swap and plan on doing many more

Re: 4.3 to 350 swap

i know they say to use the 2.8 mounts because they are stronger than the 4.3 mounts. there's an adapter plate you can buy to match up the mounts to a 350, either try jtr.com or mys10.com and you should be able to find all the parts and info you need.
