Fm transmitter or different car stereo?

Hello car audio peoples. I have a question about hooking up an mp3 player (zen vision m) to my car (05 deville).

I want to play my zen m in my deville, but the stock stereo doesnt have a cassete player or aux input to plug it into. Also, I've used a cheap fm transmitter in the past, and it never really functioned correctly in the car. There was always static, or skipping, or just bad audio in general. Also, I like the stock stereo in my deville.

Now would I be better off spending money on a stereo with a cassette player or aux input, or would a more expensive fm transmitter work without me having get a different stereo?

Thanks.
whoops wrong forum. I'll notify a mod. My bad.

When it comes to hooking up optional equipment, FM transmitters have the worst quality no matter how expensive it is. Aftermarket CD player w/ aux in is the best option unless they make input connectors for stock decks (i dunno if they do).

Ok thanks. I think first I'm gonna try an fm transmitter and return it if it sucks, then I guess I'll have to look into a cheap cd player with an aux input.
