3-Way-Deathmatch tC vs Prelude vs Tiburonsilentscreams85 05-26-2007, 09:31 PM Im driving home from work this afternoon and i caught a glimpse of a clean looking Black Prelude SH ( last gen model ). He wasn't hauling ass or anything, i'd say "spirited" driving sounded like he was running I/E. Traffic was fairly light at this time. We were stopped at a red light and he proceded to give the slightest rev, i nodded. He took off rather quickly and i floored it to keep up. We had a short game of cat and mouse, i struggled to keep up..but i dont think i did too bad, considering i was down like 40hp at least. He kept a good 2 car lead or so on me. We were at the next red light which seemed to be taking forever to turn green, chatting. My ears were correct, he had an Injen intake, Greddy CB, and a short shifter, I have to say it sounded pretty sick. Pause for dramatic effect... Scrrrrreeeeeechhhhhh.............. This late model Tib slams on his brakes to my right almost flying into the intersection. His front tires were a few feet past the crosswalk. Dumbass could have hit a pedestrian or something. He proceeds to reverse back behind the crosswalk boundaries. Driver was quite young looking, almost too young to be driving . His passenger was laughing hysterically. We (me and prelude driver) look over and shake our heads in an obviously sarcastic manner. We get the "intimidating" eye from said driver and his passenger, i guess it was no longer funny. The prelude driver revs up as the H22 sings it tune...ah beautiful. At the green the prelude jumps ahead , and im slightly ahead of the tibby. At about 65 The prelude has almost three cars on me now and i have maybe 1 3/4 length on the Tib. I take it up to 80 and shut it down as there is some traffic ahead. The Tib proceeded to move behind me and kept his distance for a few blocks...poor tibby :) Cliff notes 1. tc plays cat and mouse with lightly modded prelude 2. Prelude > tC > Tiburon AMGalltheway 05-26-2007, 09:58 PM haha great nice runs did you get a chance to talk to the tib driver later? The 6 probably would have beat you just as badly as the prelude. Previously he says that he predicted that he had exhaust and intake. Im sure you knew what he meant. silentscreams85 05-28-2007, 06:43 PM Explain to me, how your ears can tell if a car has short throw shifter? Earlier i had predicted that he had I/E. If you read my post i said we (prelude driver and me) were chatting later on, it was at this time he told me all the modifications on said vehicle including the short throw shifter. Never did i once predict he had a short throw shifter, nor could have i made such an prediction. wethepplebmxer 05-29-2007, 12:49 AM yea def not a v6 tib. my sis drives one and it would easily run away from a tc.
