Water pump issues!!!!

Just had my timing belt and pump done 2500k's ago, and now the car leaks antifreeze like crazy!!, Only when it sits though, not when it's running, wierd eh?? Anyways i'm pretty sure its the water pump, i don't see anything else in the area that could leak coolant.
My question is could i mark EVERYTHING with nail polish or something, Mark all the pulleys to the belt, and mark the tensioner. Then remove the timing belt, balance belt and change the water pump and put the belt on exactly how it was marked and retension to the marks. Is this possible to do??????????

I have no access to the special tools you need to do this kind of job, I'd have to buy them somewhere
p9201 tensioner/ flywheel lock/pulley puller etc....
