1999 F-150 AC recharge port

Does anyone know where the tube is that you refill your AC on a 1999 F-150?
Thanks

Re: 1999 F-150 AC recharge port

I've got a '98 F150. It's on the accumulator, the (approx.) 4" dia x 10" tall aluminum canister located in the engine compartment, front of the firewall on the passenger side. It's got a plastic screw-on cap.

Don't try to add refrigerant via the high-pressure side port located on a stand-up tube on the (approx.) 1/2" dia. aluminum tubing. Ordinarily the refrigerant can charging hose connector fitting wouldn't fit the high pressure port anyway, but the pressure, if the compressor is on, would probably blow the can apart.

Be sure to bleed off some refrigerant to clear the charging hose of any air. Getting any air at all in the system is a big no-no.
