'94 Lumina APV Engine trouble

Hi,
We own a '94 Lumina APV, it has been bucking when it reaches 80 clics for quite some time, last week it started bucking when idling or when it cruises at a steady speed. Changed spark plugs and wires, checked compression on the 3 front cylinders #1 (80), #2 (150) and #3 (180) not necessarily in that order. We are thinking that maybe the head gasket is going though it is not losing oil. Sometimes but not always, the engine light will come on when bucking, but when engine is stopped and restarted it is gone. Had it checked for codes but of course nothing comes up! Any ideas?

Thanks

Sensors control alot of the engines operation, so get a good computer diagnosis not just a code reader. Go to a dealer or good repair shop that has a car computer and have them put it on a computer. Tech schools that have a good automotive tech. class have computers for cars try there there usually pretty cheap, sometimes REALLY cheap try it and find out.

Re: '94 Lumina APV Engine trouble

Please state engine type...3.1 or 3.8?
Of course head gasket problems are 3.1 problem, not 3.8....
What part of Gatineau is this? hull, aylmer, gatineau?...this is on George street,or very close, is'nt it?
COmpression test seems a little weird..but sometimes it is hard to have a tight fit of the gauge, so maybe the 80 on #1 is accurate....maybe not...but this , anyway, is not necessarily linked to the trouble you describe.
Not sure if your .94 codes can be flashed...but anyway try this when you have the CEL on..
