Brit11 AF Newbie Join Date: May 2007 Location: Red Deer Posts: 1	97 Golf My oil light keeps coming on after highway use when the rpm's are low. The only way to make this stop is to shift down or speed up to bring the rpm's to about 3000. What is going on?

veedubmechanic VDUBMAN Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Rosemount, Minnesota Posts: 2,243	Re: 97 Golf Replace the high and low pressure oil sensors (about 8.00 each) one on the side of the cyl head and one on the oil filter housing. if that doesnt fix it you need a oil pump.
