90 Lumina no dash lights.

When I turn on headlites on my 90 Lumina there are no dash lites. I also noticed that on the climate contrl buttons the red ind. lite go's out when hlite switch is pushed on. Fuses good,i'm thinking bad relay but where is it?

Compartment underhood 3 relays are for fans and AC compressor. Fuses are mainly for injectors. This is also location of ECM on 90 lumina sedan. I'm going to search for relays under dash when my back lets me.

The fuse box in the glovebox controls all the interior stuff.

Where's the dimmer set?

I think it's location makes it easy to get spun where the dash lights are dark on your car, if I remember...

Re: 90 Lumina no dash lights.

The dimmer is a slide knob which is part of the headlite switch. I took a chance and replaced switch with one from the boneyard. No dice,at least Im only out 10 bucks.

Re: 90 Lumina no dash lights.

Spent most of the weekend troubleshooting with no luck...but here's what I did. I got a 10"self adhesive red LED light strip from Autozone for 16.00. Took off dash panel lens cover installed on bottom ledge and wired to light switch.LEDs were reflecting on windshield, but a strip of elec.tape across bottom of lens remedied that.It also directed more light to face.Looks real cool at night, even my Fast and Furious neighbor digs it. I'll do something similiar to illuminate climate controls. One day I'll have my grandkids show me how to post picture of my 4dr. 90 Lumina. I got Razzi ground effects,Z34 hood and grille, dual exhaust and Euro rear spoiler.Had it repainted deep red garnet. Sharp enough for F&F guys to let me hang...until it get's dark!
