OC racing story

So check it out its like this. Me and my dawg Tommy Boy been in da game for some time. We know whats up. This one night I take my 2003 civic hybrid out for some cruisin’, I pick my homie Tom from his Dad’s crib in Laguna Niguel. He had an Eminem CD in hand, I put it in and we started kickin’ it. He suggested that we would drop by local Arby’s ( which is knows street racers spot). As we drive to the spot I see tis Volvo S60 T5 drivin , we pull up to the light and I start reving my modified VTEC. That fool grandpa in Volvo looks at my car, prolly notices all the JDM/APC/VTEC decals on the side and wets his pants. Light is about to turn green and I rev up my 1.5 VTEC to the red line holding clutch down….light turns green and I stall. Grandpa gets a head start while I try to fire up my beast again, by the time I get my car going again that Volvo is like 1/16 mile away My dawg Tommy starts flailing wildly at me to get going and smoke that sucker. I quickly accelerate almost getting my front right tire to squeak. By the 3 rd gear I am almost even with that Volvo, I see LEDs on the dash blink as VTEC engages and I accelerate to 50 MPH. My tach (10 inches in diameter) as I pull even with the Volvo, I shift to 4th but it grinds for a while allowing the pops to pull ˝ a car ahead. Finally 4th engages and I fly past the pops at 58 MPH, after passing him I turn my e-flashers and pull in front of the Volvo. On the next light i made a hard right to the 5 lane wide, one way street barely controlling my honda’s desire to oversteer. Finally we arrive at the Arby’s, all my homies gather around as I pull up and rev my engine. My neon panels inside the doors, trunk, hood and undercarriage pulse in the beat with “Just Loose it” everyone is stunned. I get out and talk to the Big Mike (Junior at DHHS who hanles all the races around), we decided to race for pair of Alteeza tail lights and custom made Type R sticker. Than some Kid walks in and goes “Yo, I don’t have any money or pink slip to my Mom’s corolla but I do have this brand new custom made Momo steering wheel with build in Neon lights. If I win I take the Alteeza lights, Type R sticker and Respect, If I loose you take my steering wheel”. Than we race.
We line our cars going downhill, everyone revs engines, light turnes green and we take off. I hear the tire squeaks coming from the left side of my car and I feel how crowd is getting energized by my burnout. I quickly jump in front and by the 3 rd gear I have a 3 car lengths lead over Ian’s CRX, than I see new kid starting to gain ground on me. I think that he had 15 HP NOS shot installed, as he evens up with me I shift to 5th and use my 25 HP shot of NOS. The punch I have experienced was out of this world, I was literally pressed back in my seat with at least 0.056 Gs. Needless to say that I finished first and got myself awesome Momo wheel. We kicked some more at the spot and than decided to head home ‘cause it was getting past 10:00 PM and I had to be home by 11:00PM.
As we drive back home I see this s!ck @$$ dodge charger with some engine parts sticking above the hood (probably early version of VTEC). I couldn’t see inside the car but I knew the guy wanted to race, he was standing in the bike lane next to the parking meter with his lights off. I knew dat dude wanted a shot @ me beast. So I lined up with him and launched at 7ks, that fool had no chance at all. I think he didn’t know sh!t about drag racing since he was standing at the same spot next time I passed that place…prolly some domestic fool.Thats it dawgs my night at the races ya all, peace out,.
