2006 Volvo S40 15K Miles and Blown Engine

Anyone with this problem or ever heard of it. I have a 2006 which I bought BRAND new and LOVE that car and the engine just blew @ 15K miles

. The shop has had it a week and they are trying to decide whether to give me a new engine or replace the heads. Please help if you have heard of this. I need all the info I can get. Thanks!!!

Never heard of something that drstic happening to a Volvo with low miles. I heard of older Volvo timing belts breaking from not changing at regular intervals, but not your issue.

I just heard from the dealer and it was NOT A BLOWN ENGINE!!!! WOO HOO!!!

It was the timer tensioner and the timing belt just slipped off!!!!!!!!!

I know, right!!! I should get it back soon!!! I hope this does not affect anything with them having messed with the heads on the car. We'll see.
