2003 4 runner 4.7l v8

okay so i work with a guy who has a 2003 4 Runner 4.7 liter V8. well we found that TRD makes a supercharger for a 4.7 liter fj cruiser. we wondering if its the same motor? or if he can use the supercharger? and if not where we can get one.

thanks for all the help ahead of time.

Re: 2003 4 runner 4.7l v8

I thought TRD still made the supercharger kit for the 4.7. Since you brought it up, I looked and couldn't find any supercharger for any UZ-FE engine. I found some discussion about a weakness in the stock block and stock rods in this series of engines (at least the 2UZ-FE and the 3UZ-FE) that may make them a poor choice for installing a sc.
