I have an 1992 chevy lumina v-6. For the past month when i drive my car it will start fine. But when i drive it and stop at either a light or stop sign. It will start stalling. Then soon turn off. Either i have to put it in neutral or press on the brakes and the gas for it not to die. It is very fusterating. But yet nobody told me the exact problem. I need help. I know nothing about cars. And i need to know what the possible problem can be. Thank You.
If it stalls always when coming to a stop (even when cold) it could be your TCC (torque converter clutch partially locking/locking too early) Did it do anything like this before?
Welcome to AF. Some one has to drive this to determine the type of stall, many things can cause this, one was mentioned. Egr could be at fault, idle air control, pcm and so on.
