So I was out Sat. Night after a long day of banging wrenches on my 280 the damn thing is more trouble than it's worth but I love it. Well anyway the problem of the week was the ignition, so I changed the coil, wires, plugs, cap, and rotor it ran like a scalded dog after that and I was on my way to friends apartment when an S2000 pulled up next to me at a light and asked if my car was stock, it was an older guy and his car looked really sharp and sounded nice, so I told him no it was modded he nodded and asked if I wanted to do a quick pull, I figure what the hell were in the middle of nowhere its midnight and the road is straight for a mile or so. I agreed and when the light went green we both jumped on it and I spun, he didn't I caught him within about 100yds and was even keel with him when my car tripped over itself and died but not before sputtering for a good 10 seconds. Oh I was pissed, I got it out and popped the hood after I tried to start it with no joy, I started to reach for my coil to see if it was hot because the last one cooked to death and realized it wasn't there, at this point I was curious were my coil was and also what happened to my aircleaner it was also MIA. I searched high and low in the that engine bay and all the way back to the light no dice. I had to walk to the apartment complex which was still like 3 miles away and wait until that morning to get a coil and aircleaner, but thats not the best part I got a freaking parking ticket for leaving my car on that road overnight even though it was in the grass. I swear someone or something has it out for me.

No my pieces never did turn up I think the coil wire got wrapped around the arifilter and the filter itself fell off and took the coil with it the filter is always giving me trouble as far as staying tight and I didn't remember to tighten down the hose clamp that day. And I agree that guy in the 2000 seemed nice enough but he clearly saw I was broke and din't even stop.

Sucks to get a ticket when you cant move you car. I live in a collage town and there is an ordinance officer that goes around and tickets people for stupid things like parking an inch to far away from the curb. Ya know I really hate that lady! On top of that our city has an ordinance where you cant park on the street at night between september and april. Really sucks when you have 3 cars and 2 spaces then you get a ticket for parking in front of your own house!

I know how you feel, happened to me a month ago...for a week straight everything just kept breaking on my car, one thing after next. Someone cut my tires so I couldn't move, got a ticket for parking during street cleaning. At least you're alright, thats all that matters.
