2001 Sport pricebmwgolfguy 05-14-2007, 11:21 PM I am looking to buy a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport that has 74,000 original miles on it. It is a very basic Jeep with the usual issues. The left front speaker doesn't work, the rear windshield wiper does not work, the center console latch is broken, the hood won't open without a push by someone while pulling the hood lever inside the vehicle (i.e. it takes two people to open). It was also in a minor fender bender (left front end) and the repair job is pretty bad. That probably explains the hood issue. Otherwise, it appears to be in very good mechanical condition with a pretty clean interior. What would be a reasonable price to pay by a small car lot owner who only sells Jeeps and does all 4x4 maintenance on them? I have been to kbb, edmunds, nada and black book and the consensus seems to be between $7,000 and $7,500. I am located in northern Michigan where we get a lot of snow. No anti-locks. Any input is appreciated. citizen@large 05-15-2007, 05:50 AM Those would be high prices for me considering its been in an accident and has so many other 'issues'. I'd start haggling at 5K... You can find much better. Personally, I wouldn't go with anything over a '99 b/c of the emissions restrictions they started in '00.(extra cat-converters) I was able to pick up a '98 limited built like a som-b*tch for $5800... I just had to look. Details: http://www.myjeepspace.com/citizenatlarge ~Good Luck! Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
