problems on 98 xc70

Hi Guys

I live in Australia, and am planning to get another volvo, either v70 or xc70 1998 model. (I currently own 05-06 model of v70 and loving it!!)

I read some articles from the net that apparantly xc70 in North America suffers lots of problems and some call it is a money pit, is this true? Anyone from Australia and owns or owned 98 model xc70 has problems with the car so far? If Australians got no problems it means that you guys in US are having a bad luck.

Your thoughts and advise are greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Re: problems on 98 xc70

I work at a Volvo Dealer and we don't see too many issues with the XC70 models. Front brakes seem to wear faster, but they are great cars!
