today me and my friend was ridin in his car 83 cutlass and the front tire on the passenger side of the car caved in as if the tire was about to break off. we had to tow the car and the tow guy said it might be the ball joint that has broken. has anyone ever had a problem like this before. the car has stock rims and brand new tires so its not like he was riding on 20+ inch rims or anything and the breaks/rotors are good. we got the car home and the front axel seems fine not broken so what could it be. if you think you know please tell and if you have any idea of the cost/parts i would like to know that to!

Sure sounds like a ball joint to me. I don't know the cost. I'm sure its pretty low.

thanky man and im pretty sure its the ball joint and wheel bearings that need to be replaced. im just glad someone gave me some informative info on what i may need to fix the problem

Ball joints and labor it wont cost over $100, shouldnt anyway.
