Question Brake light bulbs

We have a 2000 Chevy Venture we have had for about a year... A couple of months ago the right brake light went out, so I changed the bulb a couple of days later I was almost rearended because I didn't only have 1/2 the 3rd brakelight.. Well the left bulb was blown and the right bulb was good but the contact was loose.. So I bent it over and it fixed it for a few months Now I have the brake light out again and it's just the contacts....

Has anyone else had this problem???

If so is there fix without buying a new circuit board??

Re: Brake light bulbs

Hi,
I have a 99' montana which had the same problem:
Rear light bulbs not burning because the contacts loose their tension over time. I removed the bulb and used a small screwdriver to bend the contacts closer together. Then I used my wifes electric, hot glue gun and applied a small dab of glue to the outside of the contact; (the space where the contact would bend over to). This glue cools and hardens quickly and I replaced the bulb into the now "tightened" socket. This was nearly two years ago and that quick fix is still holding.
