Venture 2004 Speedometer and Temperature Guage are both deadmkhaliq47 05-09-2007, 12:48 AM I bought 2004 venture with 150K last week from an auction and have found both speedometer and temperature guage dead. None of them move at all. Are these two related somehow or these are two differnt problems. Does anyone had this problem? What kind of checks can I do before I go to the dealership. Regards KM GregA 05-09-2007, 08:44 PM Welcome to the forum! Does the Odometer work (does it light up and change over time)? The easiest thing to check are the fuses in the passenger side of the dash. Open the passenger side door and you will see the access panel. Specifically, check fuse # 29 (see this page (http://www.my-chevy-venture.com/fuses.html)). Both of these gauges get their INPUT signals from the PCM (computer) via a "Class 2" message (serial line). It could be a problem on the instrument panel, or even a loose connection going into the panel or PCM. I take it you didn't get an extended warranty on it at the auction? Take Care, mkhaliq47 05-10-2007, 07:59 PM Yes the Odometer works. It lights up and change over with time. Is there any way I can make sure this problem is not a loose connection? I will make sure the fuse is ok Thank you for your help. I really appreciat it. Regards KM Welcome to the forum! Does the Odometer work (does it light up and change over time)?
