Awww.... pray your water pump was replaced before you go the car and thats one less big repair cost, if so then cheer up. Its will give you many more miles to come of love.

... and they are run off the timing chain which is cause for such an expensive repair bill unlike the 2.2 OHV's which are run off the serp. belt.

Not very, just really time consuming since you have to take off the timing gear housing, fuck with the tensioner which are also from what i know 2 different versions. A whole single unit with the guide and tensioner as 1 and then a 2-piecer. These are also problem sum for the car. The 2 piece design is much better from what i've heard. Then make sure you have the timing dead on when you reinstall everything.

OHV FTW!!.....

Re: today is a bad day!

heh, ill hit 170,000 miles tomorrow going to lunch, im at 169,990 sitting in my driveway...

the only major work i can think we've had done is.. fuel injectors. few sets of tires..not sure though..

the fuel injectors were a story from hell though... we took the cav to the automechanic we always use ( it was my parents car at the time, and they're not DIY ) because it smelled like gas in the car.... so they say its the injectors, 3 days later we pick it up, i go drive it around town... lurching everything i stop... take it back, 3 weeks later we get it back with a burned out serp. belt, but no lurching or gas smell, and 1400 out of our pockets...

but yeah now its mine, and its my project car.... but nothing major
