How do I install my new timing chain?kintaro_yang 05-07-2007, 08:34 PM Hello. I have a 1998 Saturn SC2. Its a 1.9 liter and DOHC. My timing chain broke so i bought a new chain. I got my valve cover off and I was like "duhhhhh"...need instuctions and/or help on how to install my timing chain...any help or directions to a site on how to install my timing chain will be appreciated. Thank you. richpin4real 05-07-2007, 08:44 PM Do you know your engine is a interference engine. What that means is when you brake a timming chain you will do damage to your valves.I think you have more problems than just replacing your timing chain. kintaro_yang 05-07-2007, 08:51 PM Do you know your engine is a interference engine. What that means is when you brake a timming chain you will do damage to your valves.I think you have more problems than just replacing your timing chain. hmm..well i work on diesl engines so im not too incline on smaller engines...but I have thought about that. well thanks for the info..i'll look into that..
