Re: chev s10 truck

well, i just bought a 95 k1500 truck, so its alittle bigger than yours and has four wheel drive. it has the vortec 4.3 (262 or something cubic inches i believe) and a 5 speed manual. so far, it hasn't been too bad on the gas, about 15 or so i would say because i have put 10 gallons in every time and always get just over 150 miles before it hits the same spot on the fuel guage as before. i have been driving it alittle fast too, so i would bet that if you had a manual trans in the s-10 with 2 wheel drive and a 4.3, you should get somewhere over 15 mpg... oh yeah thats in U.S. mpg

Decent engine. Notorious for intake manifold gasket leaks. I'm told its because of the DEXCOOL that they recommend. What pisses me off is that it practically gets the same mileage as the bigger full size counterparts (it shouldn't). For city, 15 mpg american is the average. I get about 13, highest i've gotten is 17. On highway, the best i've done is 23, i now ususally get around 18-20, depending on speed. I drive a 98 Blazer LT 4x4.
