Codes?

What is the procedure to access the engine codes on a 95 APV? Thanks in advance!

Re: Codes?

'95 was a crossover between OBD1 and OBD2...or was already OBD2. The codes cannot be flashed. A scanner is required, or an interface to a laptop PC.

Re: Codes?

check this out
http://www.pontiac-interface.de/
Problem is you must build the interface.
HOwever, I bought a cable from
http://aldlcable.com
it comes with several softwares. However I have not been able to use it at this time as none of the softwares is able to detect the cable. I have not investigated much at this time as I have no problem with the car and will look more seriously into that issue later...I would like to hear of anyone using this with success....

Re: Codes?

Check the aldl connecter. my 95 3800 is OBD1. I think they were all OBD1 but some may have the OBD2 connecter.
