Sluggish trans

This is not a real fix for your problem, but it is a way to survive. Let your trans warm up before you merge on to a freeway or go faster than 50mph, I would say that the problem that you have disappears after 3 to 5 miles of driving. Dodge trannys are known for this problem I have a 1978 360 with a RV cam in a motor home. Same problem It is almost like a slip inbetween gears. I drive it slow for about 3 miles then it is fine.
Be carefull out there make sure you do not push your truck or car too hard when it is cold. Dodges are only dependable when they are at operating speed. and they are dogs when they are cold.
