personally, from my experience, my car likes the synthetic oil, even though i have the se, the last of the true se-r's.

i started on conventional pennzoil. it lasted maybe 2k miles, till i said this sucks.
i then switched over to valvoline's 75k higher milage dino oil. it helped a little.
then went into synthetic blend 75k high milage. helped even more.
then the valvoline synpower group III full synthetic, and the car responded even better.
but i wanted to try mobil one. tired it, and it lasted. mind you this is before they stopped makin the group IV full synthetic. made the car louder.
but after that, i switched back to synpower. i like it, even though its not technically a full synthetic.

people have been using castrol's full synthetic 0-30 german blend. its kinda a goldish color to it with good results. this is my next oil im trying.

castrol > valvoline. if i had the money to spend i would use royal purple.
