Re: Turbo kit
What up man?
Those 911SCs are good cars, however I personally would suggest that you refrain from putting a turbo on it. At that point in time turbos were new pieces of technology and I personally don't think that the engine is up to take boost. Especially with a non-motronic engine managment system.
As far as oil leaks are concerned, maybe you are looking are high milage varients. If you are trying to buy one within a limited price range, that could be your problem. With these older porsches I believe that sometimes it is worth it to pay a little bit more money for a vehicle that has been well maintained. Especially when it comes to oil leaks. Oil is that cars blood.
Also when looking for a 911sc, try and find one that has a hydrolic chain tensioner upgrade. Also look for a porsche specialist in your area. The cars are pretty simple theoretically, but there is a lot that can go wrong that most mechanics don't know about. But I've heard those engines lasting for a very very long time if well maintained.
