1998 Camry Gas Gage

When I fill up my tank with gas, my gage does not show that it is full. I just bought the car, it has 116k miles on it and is a v6, if that makes a difference. When the take is full, the gage shows that it is between full and 3/4. What can I do to fix this?

Re: 1998 Camry Gas Gage

The "body electrical" section of the 1997-2001 Camry Factory Service Manual readable from the Factory Service Manual thread at the top of the forum shows several tests you can do to test the system.

Re: 1998 Camry Gas Gage

I called the dealership and they told me that it was my fuel level sender guage with a cost for the part about $118. That is is just what the manual said also. Great info and great help. Thanks.
