Lots of great info!

I'm thinking about buying a 2002 Malibu (54K miles) and I've read about the common intake manifold gasket problems. Besides looking for brown gunk in the coolant what else can I do as being a test? Is there a way to sample and test the oil/coolant for a leak?

Thanks,
Stan

Should have DexCool antifreeze in it.. orange in color.

Look real good for pools or any signs of coolant underneath throttle body and also under power steering pump.

check for coolent , or dampness, at the gasket near below the thermostat housing above the tourque converter [right side]

[left side] dampness between the lower intake manifold and the head [near water pump
