Re: Radio Harness
Well there is a ground, constant 12 V, switched 12 V, lighting control and of course there will be 8 for the 4 speakers. There may be more depending on configuration.
I don't know what year and options you have to help more.

Re: Radio Harness
I have the information on the 1999's. I replaced my factory head unit a year ago and while I was researching I seem to remember something about a significant change between 99's and 00's in the stereos. Since it didn't apply to me I don't remember much. I think it may have had something to do with the chime warning systems being integrated into the stereo.
I believe there is a module available to compensate. Are you replacing the stereo?

Re: Radio Harness
I would buy a Haynes manual for your year Venture. They have scematics (sp) in the back. Good referance book for about 15 bucks.

Re: Radio Harness
I would not blindly trust a Haynes for wiring information. In fact I have a Haynes but Hayne's schematics are known to contain errors or have incomplete information. My haynes covers 1997 to 2001 and the only audio interconnect schematic included is entitled "typical Audio System".
I think a Haynes is a great manual though and highly recommend one for any car but they do cover a wide range of years in one book and they couldn't possibly include every variation between years.
It does show the following doubles:
ORG - Computer Data Lines
ORG - Battery
BLK/WHT - Ground
BLK/WHT - Ground
DRK BLU - RR+
DRK BLU - WHL CTRLS (Wheel Controls)
LT GRN - Not used/Rear audio
LT GRN - RF+
Just don't trust it blindly.

Re: Radio Harness
Could you PLEASE tell me where you got your info. I''ve done a lot of stereo installs but never have I had so many wires i didn't know what they went to. The obvious 12v, constant, and ground. Then 8 for the speakers. Still left with 7. Please help. It is a 99 Venture. Thanks
