Loud surging and noises from my speakers

My 80 year old mother while I was in the car listening to the radio got in my car and slammed the pass door very hard and all of the sudden a big surge went through my speakers, now it is intermitting while listen to it like there is something grounding out, i took off the door panel to see if a wire was crossed out but everything checked out find, the only thing I can think of is she may have popped or blown something in the door speaker or the separate tweeter that is there, seems like when I turn the volume up and down it surges, anyone have any suggestions of what it may be or maybe something shook loose in the sterio itself.
