Arrow Low Coolant Light -what is the cause (besides the obvious)

Just got a 93 Corsica 3.1 V6 to get me to work and back. Temp gauge not working, replaced the temp sensor located under air box hose. Still not working AND now low coolant light is now on. I topped off coolant, still on. is there more than 1 temp sensor? If so, where is the other one located? Any quick tests for the gauge? Thanks
