the SR20DET is an damm fun motor to kick ass

but you have to keep in mind alot of people use their car as daily dirvers and dont want the excess time to take care of the turbo system also the VE motors great for daily drivers.

now if you want to get crazy with the FWD turbo from nissan check out the SR20VET with 280Hp stock its in the NEW X~trail in Japan only !

Why dont we just get the 4wd drivetrain and the sr20vet and slap it on a 200sx! (may be impossible but we can dream right?)

Now that would be a nice slap in the face to ignorant h-fans

The only thing to keep in mind with a lot of power in an ff sr20 is the tranny... they have more trouble keeping up with the power and blow synchro's a lot easier. You shouldn't have trouble till 250lb/ft of torque, but just in case! (you would never have that problem with a honda though... it is a big job to get that much torque out of one)

Acually 250lb/ft is too much sometimes. My girlfrinend broke 3rd gear N/A with 142 WHP on a hard shift to 3rd..

My self. I am tranny number 12. Thay suck pritty bad. as far as get geting 250lb/ft of torque its not hard to do at all. a basic stock GTIR Swap that I use to have back in the day with a diffrent MAF sensor and ECU calabration for the new MAF and 18PSI got me 285 WHP and 320 LB/FT of torque

Yep that was my car. I was kinda pissed about that.. I made more HP then my friends integra. he got to dyno at 8am when it was cold. We dynoed the car the same morning down in San Deago at 7am and it made 497.6 HP and that was are confermation pull on the dyno to make sure it would put down numbers at SCC dyno. But we got to SCC in fulerton,ca at about 3pm and it was about 97 deg inside the dyno room so the car lost about 25 HP due to the heat. Ohhhhhhh well..

I know he's being a bit of a lomo wid the "Nissan sux!" statement but I sersiously dont think you should generalise about Honda drivers. I cruise all the tyme wid my Honda mates(all itrs/DC2s) and they have alot of praise and respect for S15s etc blah...

My 2 cents :smoker2:

Yes, but that is where you live. Around here, there are far more ignorant Honda fans than knowledgeable ones, who've simply blindly joined the bandwagon. It's really easy to feel outnumbered by the fools...I envy you, man.

After the newb gets called for a newbish mistake, he proceeds to state that he is not, in fact, a newb. Haha, newbs are funny.
