87 trans am spoiler

Okay so my spoiler sucks...its cracking and rusting. I have bought 2 hatches for the car so far and everyone i buy seems to crack and rust, even after i have it painted for 600 bucks. I have added the stretch adhesive so that the paint can stretch because the spioler is rubber. Also i have heard that there is a fiberglass one available...i would like that very much...pretty much anthing but the rubber one will make me happy. If anyone knows of the fiberglass or aluminum or steel or even glass (lol) spoilders available for my car...please post here about it. Thanks you

Waw that's odd. What color(s0 are you painting it? I would expect a little more of a problem like that in say New Mexico or Arizona, but Michigan?

Re: 87 trans am spoiler

Yeah the rubber spoiler was a dumb GM design...there prolly should have been a recall on the damn thing but no...it made it past the recall date. The rubber caused the paint to split, crack, and bubble. Also rot. I am very thankfull for posting me that link about fiberglass spoiler. it will hlep out alot...
