Angry They're killing my OnStar

Hey everyone... I've been off the board awhile and I'm sure someone else has brought this up. I received a letter a couple of weeks ago telling me FCC regulations were requiring OnStar be totally digitalized and having a 2002, that at the end of this year, I could no longer subscribe to the service. Anone know if I'm screwed here no mater what or is there something I can do (short of trading in which I really don't want to do)?

If that is true, its good i guess.... I will not pay 600-1200 and then a monthly fee. I love my onstar but I cant believe they are going to let all of those subscribers go just like that. They didnt start installing the all digitals ones in all gm vehicles until 2005, they are in some 04's, but I think only in Caddys and Buicks. My silvy has the analog one

Re: They're killing my OnStar

My head to toe extended warrenty is good until Aug, 2008. I wonder if I can force the issue under that pretense. 'Cuse me, but... you failed to make this work for the period of the warrenty!!!! Think I have some phone calls to make.

Smile Re: They're killing my OnStar

I recieved the same letter this past week but they are offering an upgrade to digital if I renew for a year.....upgrade is included!

Hit your onstar button and ask them the details....I know it is only for a limited time. (I have a 2003 so it may be year specific)
