Predator Flash tunergrohlinger 03-25-2007, 11:04 AM Has anyone tried using the Predator flash tuner in a gasoline silverado? I have a 6.0 2000 2500 and wondering if they are worth the money, my brother in law bought one for his ford dieseal and says it made a huge difference in performance. bigbadram51 03-25-2007, 01:28 PM While I think the programmers are great for diesels, I would go with a custom tune like Nelson, wait4me or similar for gas engines. thadrawr 03-25-2007, 02:40 PM ^^^ What he said I would go with one of the custom tuners on the market I recommend Nelsons BlenderWizard 03-25-2007, 09:43 PM ^^^ What he said I would go with one of the custom tuners on the market I recommend Nelsons I've got one, and I'd recommend going with someone else. Nearly two years into my tune, and they can't get all the kinks ironed out. That, and a Nelson tune is ridiculously expensive compared to Wheatley, PCM4less, or wait4me tune. bigbadram51 03-26-2007, 01:05 AM I've got one, and I'd recommend going with someone else. I cant speak for the quality of the others besides Nelson's, others have seemed to be plenty happy with theirs. A Nelson Tune is more expensive, but I believe I got exactly what I paid for. A greatly improved pickup, better gas mileage. I have had mine for nearly two years with zero problems. I have put somewhere between 30 and 35k miles on mine. BlenderWizard 03-26-2007, 06:06 AM Basically, they have not been able to get rid of all my pinging issues. I have heard nothing but good things about Wheatley's tunes, though, and it's not coming from the Hypertech crowd, either. It's coming from serious modders. Slowprocess 03-26-2007, 08:37 AM FWIW.....I haven't recieved a good update tune from Nelson in about 2 years. Something is always off when I get it sent back to me. I'm going to memohis to get a dyno tune within the next month. I've given Allen several chances to get mine right, but it just isn't happening. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
