Liquid Clay Bar

Has anyone tried the new liquid clay bar stuff from turtle wax? I was wanting to try some but I want to see some other people's opinions first.

Re: Liquid Clay Bar

I'm not afraid to admit I bought some at Wal-Mart out of curiousity... I tend to try things even if I'm skeptical... especially when the instructions say things like "hose off loose dirt" (meaning, no need to do a real wash) or describe the separated layers with some marketing mumbo-jumbo.

But, giving it the benefit of the doubt, I tried it next to real clay.

Then I gave it to some friends to try it next to real clay.

The clear conclusion was that I should take it back and get real clay.

It was not easier and it was not cleaning as good... it wasn't in any way better. I don't know how else to explain it. These were on two different cars that were mildly in need of claying. Both vehicles clearly showed a difference between this stuff and real clay -- the real clay doing a better job.
