'99 blazer auto headlight questionhootymo 03-23-2007, 12:13 AM hi all, i have a 99 blazer 4dr 4x4 with the lovely (PITA) auto headlights. i used to have a 2000 blazer that had the auto headlights as well and there was a way to disable them by pressing the dome override button a few times and they would turn off, but i found out that isnt possible with my '99 because the ability to turn them off wasn't added till 2000. so what i am wondering is if i upgrade my truck's BCM to that of a 2000-up blazer would that make it possible to add that ability to turn the lights off? do i need to upgrade the headlight switch as well, or just the BCM and is it actually possible or is there anything that would not be compatible? I appreciate the help, thanks in advance. goser 03-23-2007, 07:21 PM This should tell you everything you need to know about headlights: http://www.s-10crewcab.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4649 I can only personally vouch for the quadbeam mod though. hootymo 03-23-2007, 08:42 PM thats a nice source of information, thanks! i really want to keep everything stock, though, so I really only want to know if i replace the BCM will it work. hootymo 04-15-2007, 04:14 AM OR can i take it to the dealer and ask them to flash the new code into the BCM, would they do that?
