Yeah, I think its a cop car in japan or something. I've seen some Mustang GT cop cars around, and in my hometown we had a stingray cop car! Drug-seized, it was the dare car.

Japan also has Skyline GTRs for the police. Both the GTRs and RX-7s are modified.

In Switzerland the cops have BMW (5 serie) and in the rich areas for Autobahn chasing they have a couple of Porsches.

Probably a 'negatively charged hyperbolic pulse phased strontium powered anti-Godzilla device'
Forgive me for being so crass as to talk GM in a Mazda post (that's why I hid the photos) but that "miserable design" sells here for less $$ than a gutless 206GTI .. and I know which I'd rather drive/own

Possible answer.
The deflector on the hood is probably there to interupt the air flow and keep the wind from ripping off the shit on the roof at high speed.

yah its a real car.
like said earlier there is skyline police cars in japan.
but its not the gtr. its the skyline sedan. cops in japan needed a faster car to catch up with people on the highways. they did have evo II and III a couple years but i guess they dont have enough top end speed so they changed to skyline and rx7's. however there are not many rx7 in police disguise.
