Good buy or should i think twice?clipse_thumper 03-22-2007, 03:24 AM I just won my first BMW 5speed 323ci. It has 122k miles on it but i got it for under $9000. I'm not to sure if it's an ok deal, so i come to you guys for segestions. here is the link to the ebay auction. It's from a dealer. Thanks. Also, never been in any wrecks or roll backs on odom., garaged kept, and had 2 owners. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&viewitem=&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.com%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fse arch.dll%3Fcgiurl%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fcgi.ebay.co m%252Fws%252F%26fkr%3D1%26from%3DR8%26satitle%3D28 0092553049%26category0%3D%26fvi%3D1&item=280092553049 MC9876 04-05-2007, 10:17 AM I think the car looks nice. I little wear on the drivers seat, a good auto upholstery shop can sew in a new piece of matching leather for you. But all in all, a nice car and a reasonable price. If the miles are all highway, there's plenty of life left in it. Did you go to look at the car? Did you have it inspected? Ok, now the lession... Man, once you bid on a car, it's yours guy! Dealers and individuals spend a lot of money to advertise and list their cars. You should have done your homework ahead of time so when you hit the bid button, you were commited to the deal as they are to you. If you don't get this car, think about that the next time ok? ;-) Thanks KamilMk 04-07-2007, 12:50 AM I think this deal is fine. Nothing to regret, it's a BMW bro... CassiesMan 04-07-2007, 01:09 PM Well...if you bod on the car and won it, our recomendations on it being a good buy or not isn't gonna help, you already own it. You have to remeber that on eBay. Once you bid and win...its yours. That being said, I don't think there is any problem with that buy at all. May be up there a bit in miles, 122k in 7 years, but its a good motor, and a good car, so I don't see any big problems with it. Also, if they really are highway miles, then thats not to bad at all. About 90% of the miles I have on my car are highway, so it doesn't feel like I have that many miles on my ride. Also, the road rash on the hood is no biggy, and easily fixable. All in all, I say its a good buy. Nine grand for an E46 is good. Just keep on top of the maitenance, and you'll be gravy. Because it is a BMW, I'd recomend getting to know a good local mechanic, a dealership will rape you twice without lube and not give you a reach around when it comes to check ups. Also, what part of Texas are you in, because I can give you some good recomendations of garages to take it into, if you are in the same area as I am. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
