I would like to connect my mp3-player to aux input of the radio/cassette player. Have anybody done adapter for this? I know that they are selling it, but how difficult it would be to do it yourself??? Does somebody have schematics from radio??
Try rewind and fast forward a few times. I used to have a 98 cavalier that was very touchy with the cassette addapters. My Blazer was when I first stuck it in but now it works fine.
Also make sure you can turn the wheels of the adapter with your fingers. It should turn one way but not the other way. Another thing to try is to change the wire so it comes from the other end and stick it in upside down.
You could also try the mini FM transmitters. But I have always found that they are marginal at best, weak signal and not very loud. Usually you have to keep the transmitter right next to the radio or on the dash near your antenna which is out of reach of the driver. :-(
I have a 2000 blazer with the cd player radio that has as an option for a tape deck between the dash & the console. I've thought about trying to tap into the harness to find the audio inputs for the tape deck & hook up an aux plug for my mp3 player. might need a trigger lead too, but who knows... it might work...
