What is the best way to remove and replace the rear 6x9s and the front 5 1/4"+1" door speakers(2 grilles on each door)? I want to avoid having to remove the door panels in order to replace the front factory door speakers with a set of high performance components but if I need to remove them I would like some advice. Also how tough is it to replace the rear 6x9s? I have installed a new kenwood cd deck and will be replacing all the factory speakers. I also need advice on where I can put 2-12" or 10" woofs? I will be getting 2 amps, one large 4 channel to power the front components and the rear 6x9s and one for the set of woofs(in a box or installed near the 6x9s), I have no idea where to fit them, I dont want my woofs to be in the trunk, Im a heavy metal guy and not looking for constant bass. Any help with any of my questions will be appreciated.

To replace the front speakers you will need to remove the door panel. You can purchase a removal tool for a few dollars at most autoparts stores. As for the rear speakers on most GM's the best way to remove them is to remove the back seat and slide the rear deck cover out. This allows good access and keeps the rear grills intact.

I recently replaced my Bose system in my 98 bonnie Sse ,it worked out good. I was able to keep all the tweaters. If you have a bose your speakers are back mounted so that could give you some trouble. I have two 12"s and a 1200 watt amp mounted on the box. THey fit perfectly in the trunk pushed all the way back , so i still have trunk space. I was also thinking about buying a 4 channel amp to power the other speakers. i have all in ones, but with your componite speakers you sould really get another one. As you already know a cd deck wont power them and offer the highest clearity. Then your probably going to need a compacitor, and stuff. So i would suggest you have a place do it for you (professional). the type of money your talking about puttin into your sound system you sould try to make sure you do everything to keep all warranties.
