Can a '94 ST tranny fit a 94 GT motor

Hi I was wondering if it is possible to fit a '94 ST transmission onto a '94 GT motor. The mounts and everything looks the same, but we're not sure if it is possible. Also if the swap is possible, would the metal plate that is between the tranny and the motor be the same for both models. Any replies is greatly appreciated.
