my ?? is about the passenger Door Handleenginereplace 03-08-2007, 02:23 AM I have a 95 lumina Apv and the passenger door handle keeps popping the bar out of place. It looks to me like the bar is shorter on the passenger side then it is on the driver side. Is it??? Also i seen on the inside of the door the handle has the bar located at the very top. Where its cliped in. That didnt seem right either because when you pull on the handle theres a gap in the distance where the handle starts to open the door.:banghead: Anybody got any hints here?? :uhoh: Thanks! They will give you this little plastic adapter to put on the rods and that will keep it from falliing apart again. My mechanic told me about this about 4 years ago. nicke66 04-02-2007, 04:10 PM I had the exact same thing. Go to your nearest Chevy dealer and tell them what is happening. I have the same problem with my Trans Sport. Is there a plastic adapter missing, or is the plastic adapter an improvement from GM? How does it look like? Do you put it on the end of the bar? I am living in Sweden and I am sure about that the local GM dealer does not know anything about this thing, or charges a fortune for it, if they are able to order it for me! catwomqn 04-04-2007, 06:57 AM The Chevy dealer I went to knew exactly what I was talking about. The guy walked into the body shop, came out with three of them and didn't charge me anything for them. lalunette 01-08-2009, 12:18 PM Also make sure the handle is securely bolted to the door. I recently had a problem where the bolt securing the bottom of the handle was loose and this allowed enough play in the handle that the rod popped out. It was an easy fix but involved removing the door card and jamming my hand inside the door frame. :eek7: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
