denali sound systems

I have a 02 Denali with the 11 speaker Bose system. I am less than impressed with the quality of the sound, especially at lower volume levels. Even at the higher levels I feel it doesn't live up to my expectations. I had a Chrysler 300M before the Denali and the sound in the 300M could blow the doors off the Denali.
I went to a local Stereo shop to inquire about an upgrade to this system and they said there was little they could because it would disable my OnStar. The only thing they could do was to put a seperate amp on the Sub. Does anyone out there have information on what other options I may have available to me?

Re: denali sound systems

You have a lot of options. Dont listen to people when they say your stuck due to the onstar. I used a unit my friend sold me which is a wiring harnass compatable to the factory wires. all you do is snap them on and tighten all the speaker wires. Now I left the bose speaker and amp as factory because once I changed the headunit the sound got a WHOLE lot better. But then I went to the extreme and added woofers amps and so on and so on. So if you want a better sound just try any online store and look for a unit that makes the head unit work with onstar. I believe its called the MAC.....something like that usually goes for 90-100 bucks. Now the only problem with this device is the size. Its hard as it is to put the regular wire harnass in but once you try to put this sucker in will take you the better part of an hour. This unit will make the onstar work you can also try at crutchfield.com I am positive they have it. If not e mail me and I think I have a few I brought just in case..but I would have to charge you the price I got it for
