Exclamation Please Help Asap

OK i have a 1990 sr5 v6 4runner. it has about 209,000 miles on it. juts the other day i got a k&n air filter for it. and fuel injector cleaner. i put the injector cleaner in with only 1/2 of tank of gas. and the next day when i left work. my 4runner started to bog out on me and a insane amount of white smoke. weird smell too. so i drove it around tonight for about 1 hour trying to burn off some gas. after filling up thinking it would help delute it. but nothing. just as bad. and resivore boiling too now? please help this is my daily driver. my only way to work. i need to find out if this will go away if it was caused by the injector cleaner? or the K&N filter is doing it. or if my motor is blown?? please help!!! thanks

Re: Please Help Asap

Sounds like the EFI cleaner, seen it before with carb cleaner.
I'd expect it to go away, keep diluting w/gas.

Re: Please Help Asap

Great timing.
Yeah, blown HG will make lots of white smoke too.
Had there been any hints the HG was on it's way out?

Re: Please Help Asap

Wow,..that SUCKS! Sorry you had that happen to you.

If it makes you feel any better, this happened to me as well on my last ride. (Ford Exploder Sport v-6) I babied that ride. Always took care of it. ALWAYS! Turned out i cracked the head because they had been known to be a thin cast when they made the heads. Some things are completely out of your control.

Hope you had a good mechanic fix it for you and not rake you over the financial-coals.

Re: Please Help Asap

I bet you've got a vacuum leak or a hose attached to the wrong port. Could also be a leak in the intake in front of the throttle body.
