Can someone tell me what is the difference the 4.7l v8 16v sohc engine compared to the 5.7l Hemi engine I'm looking for the performance and gas milage
difference on these 2 engines. Thinking of getting rid of my 2001 ram 1500 5.2 engine with 62k miles for a later year truck. I have noticed these 2 engines that are in the newer trucks.

about 100hp more in hemi and 2mpg better in hemi.torgue is about100 more in hemi better bet is the hemi. thanks for buying a dodge.

yea, but you should get the hemi one definetly. I have one and it is great.
