Headunit install gone wrong
Hooked up all the wires, but the system got no power. I put the stock unit in and now it gets no power too. My keyless entry doesn't work and my airbag light is on too. Please help

I went to work on it tonight. Now none of the interior lights work. I replaced the taillight fuse, which is the blown one. Even w/ double the amperage it blow the second I put it in. I can't figure anything out. PLEASE HELP

WOAAAA never go above the normal fuse rating - you've got a short/miswire somewhere.... did you use a wiring harness when trying to install the radio or did you cut the factory harness off????
Double check all your wiring, if all else fails disconnect both radios, insulate all the wire ends, and try a new fuse if its ok there's a wiring issue, if it blows something else happened while trying to install the radio....

why not go above the normal amps?, I am drawing a lot more power than stock now. (changer too) Everything is up and running nicely. The unit is working, but no sound comes out the speakers. All i did was wire in the harness as stated. All speaker wires are correct, yet no sound. That's the last problem, any ideas?

Yes you may be drawing more power now - but if thats true you shouldn't wire into a spot that has little available - better safe than sorry.....
As for the head unit not working I'm asuming you've got the bose system so did you bypass the amp? If not did you use a line out convertor?

are you running the speakers right off the head unit/aftermarket amp or factory amps? if you're using the factory amps, you'll need the wiring harness and converter to use the stock amps. it runs for about 50 bucks. i got mine through crutchfield.

I believe the P10s use a Clarion unit, not Bose. I did nothing w/ the amps. All I did was hook up the harnesses to the head unit. Everything works great now, but there is no sound coming out of the speakers. I assumed it would just run off the power of the head unit and the amps as well so it would be around 75 watts per channel. Then I just wouldn't turn it up until I got new speakers. It looks good though. I will be posting pics tonight.

Nope - the amps want low level input, you need to get a line out convertor to hook up between the headunit speaker wires and your speaker wires in the dash.... Also there may be an amp turn on wire, not sure, never did a P10 - but FYI should be bose, clarion made all the head units, the bose head is just labeled bose and has low level outs....

Only problem is that the face plate that goes around it wouldn't work and now I found out the my Pioneer changer is FM modulated only and can't hook it up to the head unit. 
Please check out my new thread so I can continue w/ the next step in getting some decent sound in the car

Yah I ran into this problem too...you need to get like 1/4 -1/2 inch spacers and put them BEHIND the brackets when you screw it back in. You may need to get longer screws...(your milage may vary)

I already used some spacers. It sticks out pretty far, but would have to go a lot more to fit the plate. It would come out soo much that it would look rediculous. Not too bad now, but a little is noticeable around the edges. Fixing the changer would be key, but when I bought it over a year ago I got the wrong one, didn't know I was gonna get a Pioneer unit in the future. Sux to be me.

Fuses are installed to protect the wiring and components from overcurrent. If the current gets beyond the rating for the wiring etc., things heat up and the fuse is supposed to burn out first to protect everything else. By installing a higher rating fuse, you are disabling this protection and wiring/harnesses etc will heat up and eventually melt. Be careful, don't want to blow your new equipment, eh.
