i just had some real quick questions. how many episodes are there in 1st stage and 2nd stage? and are there any other movies or episodes besides third stage?

There are 26 episodes in the 1st stage.. I don't remember about the second stage, but I think there are less than 20. The 2nd stage episodes are really well done.

There is an Extra Stage, which is all about Mako and Sayuki.

2nd Stage = 13episodes

3rd stage was a movie by itself.

since there is no warning about the Extra Stage being boring & useless, & u did not know the correct answer of 13 Episodes for 2nd Stage, u r 2 remove ur Initial D pic; despite it being a Third Stage character.

tell me about it... i fell asleep, or got otherwise distracted every time i've tried to watch it

It was the worst Initial D anime, that's for sure.

As for not knowing the # of episodes in the 2nd stage, I only had them on avi video format, and could never get a complete 2nd stage together :( . I watched them piecemeal, mostly in Cantonese :mad:

k...anyone know where else i can d/l initial D w/subtitles besides kazaa i got up to 25 in 1st stage, but everytime i d/l 26 i get audio, and no video and for all the 2nd stage episodes i only get video, except 1st and 2nd episode which are in cantonese though

for the video, do a web search for a "nimo codec pack"

its a pack of windows video codecs.. it should have every codec you need.

as for getting all of them on kazaa, be patient.. it took me like 2-3 months to get them all.

well it shouldn't take long, i got a t1 connection here at the college...what about the ones where i get no audio, do you know what codec i should get?

i have a cable modem too.. the time it took to do all that was b/c of 2 things

1: availability.. not all the episodes are gonna be available on kazaa all the time

2: the other party's bandwidth--your T1 isnt gonna help you if the person you are downloading from has a 56kbps upstream speed

if you ain't got sound its because you have shit codecs

well i got all of the first stage in a week, and i fixed the audio thing i got a new codec pack last night and everything is dandy now...thanks for all the help guys :D

try imesh to d/l i like it a whole lot better than kazaa...unfortunately a lot of the 2nd stage that i have d/l are in cantonese, so i just delete them and keep d/l till i get one in japanese

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the Anime Vision fansub company. I have VHS copies of 1st Stage from them. They're hyper-accurate with translations, and their sub-script is the basis for Tokyopop's dub script. Shouldn't be too hard to find.

Oh yeah, you've got to be kidding me about Battle Stage. They took out all of the character development, replaced the stellar sountrack, and made minor (read- weak) revisions to the CG. It was lame beyond comparison.

yea. it's the last race in battle stage. they use clips and some new animation to and it looks like it was in stage 2 somewhere but it didn't actually happen in stage two. just a lil something extra they threw in there. that's why it's the only race that doesn't have anything to do wif the Hachi Roku.

The battle was between Seiji(white Evo IV) and Keisuke. Kyoichi(black Evo III) might have won if he had been racing.
